Qwest Choice DSL with MSN Premium includes all of the necessary protective features like: McAfee Virus Scan and Firewall, MSN Parental controls, MSN Junk E-Mail guard and MSN Pop-up Blocker.

Be aware that MSN Premium is not compatible with Macs.

Service Area:  

Qwest currently provides service to 14 States: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New England, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

If you do not currently have Qwest phone service then you need to go through a four— step process to set up your phone service—after which, you can sign up for Qwest's high-speed DSL service.

Connection Speed:  

The Qwest network is configured so your line can achieve the maximum speed available—up to 1.5 Megabytes per second (Mbps). The actual throughput and connection speed of your service depends on a number of factors. Some lines may not support the full 1.5 Mbps speed due to: Internet traffic and congestion, the server speed of the websites you visit and traffic and congestion on private or corporate networks.

Qwest specializes in phone service which makes providing the Internet convenient and inexpensive if you're already a Qwest customer. They offer a safe package that includes a number of protective features. If you live in one of the 14 states Qwest offers service to, this might be a dial-up service to consider.
