Through AOL Hometown you can launch your own webpage or journal (blog) for free and the web designer is so easy to use that you can literally launch a webpage in minutes. AOL offers tons of fun features; however, we would like to see them expand into the business world.
This is the category where AOL really shines—they offer nationwide service with one of the most extensive coverage areas—if you have a landline you can probably get an Internet provider plan through AOL.
AOL offers a dial-up plan that includes unlimited use of the AOL 9.0 optimized tools to increase the speed at which you can surf the web. If dialup is not fast enough for you, you can upgrade to DSL.
Though AOL doesn't offer a cable package they do offer a package that you can use in combination with your high-speed cable service. You can access the best of AOL including firewall protection, enhanced communication tools and 10 hours of dial-up each month. Depending on your cable ISP this may be a good option, but most cable Internet providers' extra features will suffice.
